On the busy place of Sta. Maria St. along Pedro Gil in Manila, Monina Dabu Timbalopez started. A product of the public school system, she dreamt that someday if GOD will give His blessing, to have a place where she can nurture the love of GOD and teach good values for the little children, she will put up a pre-school where she can supervise.
Inspired by the vision and determination of my mother, I Max D. Timbalopez Jr. together with my family decided to establish a learning center for children in our vicinity. Having studied to be a social worker, I also understood the importance of caring and nurturing the child starting from a very young age. We believe that to make a difference to our community we need to develop young children so that they will be able to contribute to the betterment of the society.
We observed and saw the needs of the community to have a preschool. A place where there will be a profound understanding of the many needs of the child, not only physically and mentally but also in the development of a good heart. A quality education with values formation, which makes the students GOD-Loving children, making them emotionally stable, mentally alert and socially adjusted at an early stage.
We decided to establish Onyx Day Care & Learning School to provide a wonderful place for the child to learn and grow. A fully air-conditioned classroom but the rates are affordable to young couples that are starting a family. This is true to my mother’s dream to help and promote education to all.
